About Trudy

Trudy Finney was born in Long Island, New York and raised in Burlington, New Jersey by her parents, Alberta, a native of Nicaragua, and Edward, a Navy veteran from Florence, New Jersey. As a young child, she lived close to her grandparents, Elmer and Vera Matthews. She was also surrounded by her uncle Arthur and aunt Christine and their children, Craig, Kelvin, Kent and Brenda. They were more like siblings than first cousins.

She arrived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the age of twenty. This is where she received her education and started her career. She has been living in this beautiful city for forty years now. She has lived there longer than she lived at home, so she is officially a Pittsburgher.

She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the age of thirteen and was baptized at the age of fourteen. At that time, she was attending First Christian Assembly in Burlington, New Jersey with Reverend Samuel Montagano.

After living in Pittsburgh for a few years, she attended the Pentecostal Temple Church with then Bishop Loran Mann and First Lady, now Pastor Barbara Mann, where their first born was dedicated.

In 2021, she rededicated her life to Christ, and the Lord brought her to her current church home. In 2023, she became a member of and was baptized at Legacy International Worship Center with Pastor Michael Anthony Day and Co-Pastor First Lady Amber Day. Her spiritual family!
